This Sunday our Pastor will be preaching on ”Standing out and outstanding”. Some 2500 years ago a man called Mordecai exemplified godly living. We read about him in The Old Testament book of Esther. His beliefs not only put him in conflict with the authorities of the empire in which he lived but also unwittingly fanned the flame of prejudice and hate that would threaten the survival of himself and his fellow Jews. It can cost if as Christians we speak up for, stand up for and pursue righteousness.
