Appointed to Serve – Ridgeway Community Church

This Sunday our Pastor will be preaching with the title “Appointed to Serve”. We take a look at the role of a deacon and consider how that benefits a church. Paul writes about deacons in his letter to Timothy instructing him as to the kind of men he should consider suitable. The qualities prospective deacons should possess, as listed in that letter, are a challenge to all and an invitation to aim for such standards in our own lives. The appointment of deacons is a lovely step in the life of any church and I trust will be true for us as we move to that end.
