This Sunday Ben Howlett will be preaching from John chapter 14 verses 1-14.

“This passage starts with the words of Jesus, “do not let your hearts be troubled”. To live in this world is to know the reality of worry – a troubled heart. Jesus has just told his disciples that he is leaving them and this news would have been devastating for those men. Yet Jesus is able to say to them “do not let your hearts be troubled”.

Are these words just meaningless platitudes or is their substance behind them? Well, Jesus assures his disciples that they have good reason to not be troubled because of who he is – the way, the truth, and the life.”
