This Sunday our Pastor will be preaching from James chapter 4 verses 11-12. The sermon is titled, “Who are you to judge another?”
In these two verses there is a prohibition. We are not to “speak evil” and judge of our fellow believers. A colloquial expression might read ” bad mouth”. By judge we might read “unjustly criticise”. James highlights the seriousness nature of such speaking. It is not a light matter.
To do so is to speak against God’s law and judge it. What does this mean? What should our response be? What can we do to prevent this from taking place?
