This Sunday our speaker is Nathan Gray, a trainee Pastor, from Manor Park Evangelical Church Worcester. He will be preaching under the heading “You Are Invited” looking at Luke 14:15-24.
‘The Parable of the Great Banquet’ should really be called ‘The Parable of the Rejected Invitation’ because Jesus uses this story to challenge hypocritical Pharisees who claimed to follow God and yet rejected his invitation to heaven through Jesus. This parable is a great warning to believers and unbelievers to accept and hold firm to Jesus’ invitation. This wonderful parable also highlights the immense love of God for all, regardless of their background, and sets an example for believers to follow.
